Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with every day occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions. Massage therapy can be used as a treatment for both acute and chronic conditions.

Back Massage

Deep tissue Massage

A deep tissue massage targets deep layers of muscle and the surrounding tissues. It incorporates deep, slow strokes to apply sustained and varying amounts of pressure to target problem areas. Pressure will be deeper than a regular Swedish massage.

Prenatal Massage

​

Pregnancy massage focuses on treating pregnancy related aches and pains. Pregnancy changes your center of gravity and puts a lot of stress on your back, hips, neck, abdominal muscles, and shoulders.  Patients can expect to be treated laying on their side with multiple pillows being used for comfort and stability. Treatment can be done in any trimester.

Indie Head

Indie head massage uses multiple different techniques that focuses on the muscles and connective tissues of the face, neck, scalp, upper back and shoulder area. Techniques are aimed at promoting relaxation while effectively easing muscle pain. This treatment is done on a massage table in supine and prone but can also be performed in a chair. No oils will be used on the head/be poured on the scalp.

It is especially useful in treating:

- Headaches/migraines

- Sinus problems

- Improves circulation

- Helps with stress relief

- Reduces tension

- Improved lymphatic drainage

- Can help with jaw dysfunction

Acupressure Neck Massage

Soft Tissue Release

Soft Tissue Release (STR) is a combination of myofascial release, active assisted stretching and/or passive stretching. This technique is used to regain the original resting length of the muscle.

Cupping

​

Cupping uses a cup to pull an area of skin into a suction (negative pressure) that decompresses muscles and connective tissue. This promotes blood flow to the compromised area, enhances circulation and helps to increase the body’s own healing processes. Cups used during treatment will either be silicone or plastic. A combination of stationary and gliding cupping may be used. Be aware there is a possibility of marking to occur that may last 7-10 days.
